Priestly Ordination in Nigeria
On the 20th July 2019, three Nigerian Confreres of the Heart of Jesus Province, ( Rev Chukwuma Jude Elui, Rev John Mmaduabuchi Okeke, and Rev Paul Maduka Ifeji) were ordained priests to serve as ministers of Christ among the People of God.
The ordaining Prelate Most Rev Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor (the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Nigeria) in his homily admonished the new priests to be mindful of their duty which is to pray and to to preach the Word of God to the people, and sanctify them with the sacraments of the Church. He equally urged them to live a holy life worthy of a priest of God and beckoned on the faithful to pray always for the priests.
