Deacon consecration in Mbaukwu
Three Pallottines were ordained deacons
On 15th June 2019, three Nigerian Confreres of the Heart of Jesus Province – fr. Henry Onyekachukwu Chiafor, fr. Jude Anulika Nebeife und fr. Vincent Elochukwu Obi – were ordained deacons to serve as ministers of the Word and of the Eucharist among the People of God. The ordaining Prelate Most Rev Jonas-Benson Okoye (the auxiliary bishop of Awka Diocese) urged the new deacons to remain strong in their faith, and to give themselves totally to the service of God in his Church.
The Nigerian Pallottines hosted the Deaconate Ordination at St Dominic parish Mbaukwu. It received a great success. People came in numbers to grace the occasion. Igwe Mbaukwu was present. He was happy that the ordination was at Mbaukwu. He thanked the bishop for coming to celeberate the ordination at Mbaukwu.
